Involve Audio’s technology has been tested against a number of leading surround sound technologies from various companies that claim to be the best.
“If you are in search of the perfect four channel synthesizer, this is it! I don’t believe there is anything better!” Dwight Shultz (Captain ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock in The A Team and Lieutenant Reginald ‘Reg’ Barclay in Star Trek: The Next Generation) and well known audio aficionado!

The Surround Master decoding the Dolby Pro Logic II format.
The track being demonstrated is from a CD which was created using Dolby Pro Logic II as the recording format.
As you can see in the video, the Surround Master gives greater separation and depth and projects a full rear sound image.
Surround format comparisons of a stereo track through a Vectorscope.
This track is a stereo recording from the 80’s. A lot of people are unaware of how much surround information can be in a stereo track.
As you can see the Involve Surround Master decoding is uniformly positioned to all corners of the room with no bias.
Dolby Pro Logic II shows true left / right positioning of the track but gives a very stunted rear sound field. The stereo display on the right is shown for base reference.
Ambisonic looks like it is outputting a good surround sound field but when heard the sound lacks specific positioning. Tate SQ also looks to be doing a good job however what you can’t see, but can hear in listening tests is that sounds that should be in the front are often smeared into the rear.
Circle Surround fails to create a sound image across the rear wall.
The Power of Involve
This is an Encode/Decode example from a discreet recording. This video highlights the power of the Involve Audio format in separating surround sound information accurately from a stereo signal.
Involve Decode of Electro Voice EV4
This is an Involve decode of 3 sample Electro-Voice (EV4) LP’s using a Surround Master as the decoder. The Decodes have been captured on a Vectorscope which shows a visual representation of the decoded audio to the 4 speakers. The four corners of the Vectorscope represent the four speakers. Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left and Rear Right.
